THE FRESHMAN COACHES



Norman Hames - Freshman Head Coach


        Coach Hames is entering his eight year with the Warriors, serving as both freshman and sophomore head coach during his tenure. He was a three year letterman at Chula Vista High School where he played defensive back. Before coming to the Warriors, Coach Hames coached and served as President of the Westlake Braves Youth Organization. He and his wife Kim live in Westlake Village and have five children, David, Kevin, Mallory, Justin and Brandon. Kevin was a standout linebacker for the Warriors in 2001, Justin is a member of the Warrior varsity team and Brandon is a member of the Sophomore team.






Tony Muna - Freshman Asst. Coach



        Coach Muna begins his third year with the Warriors. He was a two year starter at fullback and a member of the 1999 CIF Championship Team. He is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Business Marketing. He lives in Thousand Oaks and works for Radnet Corp.











Dan Black - Freshman Asst. Coach



        Coach Black has been married for 8 years and resides in Winnetka with his three daughters. He enters his 14 year coaching after playing his college football at Pierce College, and CSU Northridge. Most recently he coordinated a defense at St. Genevieve High School through the playoffs that allowed a stingy 209 yards per game, and he coordinated the offense for LA Baptist to the CIF Finals in 2003. He is the founder of the Valiant Football Alumni Association.








Tim Kirksey - Freshman Asst. Coach



        Coach Kirksey played WHS 1991 season with MVP, Outstanding Back, and Gibbons Award honors. Has coached all 3 levels at WHS over the last 7 years. Lives in Westlake with wife Amy and his beautiful daughters Ema and Lily. He thinks Jim Benkert is the best coach in the whole world and that Hector Castro is the best booster president in the whole world.










Andy Flores - Freshman Asst. Coach


        Coach Flores is entering his third year with the Warriors. He attended Garfield High School where he was a three year starter on the offensive line. He was selected to the All League Team all three years and All-City his junior and senior year. He bench pressed 390 pounds at the Reebok High School Combine in 1993. He was the captain of the local CIF vs. City All-Star Game in 1994. He spent two years playing college ball at Mt. SAC College. He and his wife Marlene live in Agoura Hills with their son, Jonathan who is a sophmore football player at Agoura.







Joe Hubbard - Freshman Asst. Coach



        Coach Hubbard was hired as a consultant to the Los Angeles Rams in 1988 and worked with John Robinson the players and coaching staff. He was then hired at USC in 1992 as the Director of Football Operations and recruiting Coordinator. He then went with John Robinson to UNLV in 1999 as a coach, Director of Operations and Recruiting Coordinator until he retired in 2003. He played football at UCLA and is married to his wife Jae and has three children, Ben, Luke and Savana.
